Using the scale of BT Group, we build and partner with startups in new emerging categories to create products right now that work for the future.
Check out our latest news, including how we’re scaling the UK drone industry, connecting patients to the right care at the right time, and taking on the EV charging challenge.
We create, amplify and invest in startups to help change the world.
Our EV charging pilot is transforming street cabinets, traditionally used for broadband and phone cabling, into EV charging units. This innovative approach leverages existing infrastructure to address the national shortfall in EV charging points in a sustainable way.
Collaborating with local authorities across the UK, we are rolling out technical trials to explore upgrading 60,000 cabinets. By retrofitting these green cabinets with a device that utilises spare power from the existing broadband, we can provide curbside charging without the need for new power connection.
If you are a local authority interested in knowing more about our EV charge trials get in touch with us at [email protected]
We are proud to share that our EV charging solution has been selected as a CES Innovation Award Honoree for 2024. The annual awards honour outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products, and have recognised our solution for its unique and sustainable approach to electric charging.
Scaling preventative remote care
Our preventative remote care programme designed to prevent, detect and manage the health of patients with chronic conditions through early monitoring and pre-emptive intervention is being rolled out across 26 new practices in the UK. The award-winning solution identifies, monitors and reduces risk of cardiovascular events and has the potential to save 80 lives.
