How 25 billion daily data points can transform business decisions
This week, Etc. is hitting the ground at Vegas for our third year at CES, following a fantastic few years sharing some incredible developments from our award-winning EV charging pilots to how we’re opening up the skies for commercial drone operations. This year is no exception, and I’m excited to share more about how we’re transforming decision-making for businesses through our unique insights arm – or as I like to call it – the web analytics of the real world: Active Intelligence.
From retail to transport, real-estate and beyond, our award-winning data platform – which we’re officially launching at the show this year – is helping businesses better understand their customers and make informed choices to enhance experiences, optimise services and drive efficiencies.
It’s a fitting time to talk about what we’re doing in this space as the demand for data-driven insights continues to grow, with over 70% of global organisations making major data investments to support decision-making, and 62% of retailers reporting that they gain competitive advantage from powerful information and data analytics.
Our insights platform is at the heart of enabling this, blending movement and location insights enriched with population data to drive decision-making for businesses.
The power of the platform is in its ability to harness and process 25 billion aggregated and anonymised data points daily – which sounds impressive – and it is – but the more important part is how that data is translated into actionable insights. Using advanced data science and generative AI, the platform analyses aggregated and anonymised data and trends to create powerful insights with real-world use cases. Whether that’s to help transport operators optimise routes or schedule more services or enable city planners to assess locations for new urban developments, these powerful movement and location insights can ensure they make the right decisions at the right time.
It’s another example of how GenAI is having a tangible impact too, in this case having the potential streamlining data outputs from the platform to create simple, digestible insight summaries, which can be accessed through a simple portal. GenAI will no doubt continue to be a key theme at CES again this year, and I’m interested to see how that shows up through new innovations beyond buzzwords.
So, as we kick off 2025 I’m excited to see how more businesses unlock the power of insight through our platform and discuss this further at CES. If you’d like to find out more, come find us at CES Unveiled on stand 420 on 5th January or drop me a message.
